Advance SARIn techniques to maximise the scientific exploitation of CryoSat data over Mountain Glaciers

Objectives:

• Determine the limitations of the current CryoSat-2 SARIn processor on Mountain Glaciers
• Determine the potential options to address the current limitations of the CryoSat-2 SARIn processor for Mountain Glaciers using swath processing of CryoSat-2 Level-1b altimetry data.
• Experiment a new dedicated algorithm; FBR filtering and a new retracker.
• Estimate the impact of the application of existing CryoSat-2 products and new dedicated approaches on the knowledge of glacier contributions to sea level.
